Our staff (who are all appropriately trained and CRB checked) are our most valuable resource. Their care, knowledge and experience are at the heart of what we offer and we always maintain a high staff ratio so that the children can have individual attention when needed. We ensure that all our staff are First Aid trained and we also provide the opportunity for further development of all staff through attendance of Preschool curriculum, health and safety, food hygiene etc. courses.

When each child starts at the Pre-school they are assigned a key worker who is responsible for ensuring they settle in and obtain the most from their Preschool experience. Day-to day care of the children is provided by the whole team and details of individual staff members is provided below.

Pre-School Supervisor - Mrs Dawn Beardmore

Dawn has worked in Pre-school since 1995. She holds an NVQ 3 certificate in childcare and education, she has attended a curriculum planning course, is a qualified first-aider and is the named person with regard to child protection and behaviour management. Dawn is currently working towards her NVQ Level 4 qualification.

Pre-School Deputy - Mrs Suzie Oates

Suzie joined the Pre-school in May 2002. She has a child psychology O level, an NVQ 3 in childcare and education and has attended specific Special Needs, Autism /Asperger, Speech and Language courses and is the named person with regard to Special Educational Needs (SENCO).
